Happy Nuda Year

Oh golly, gee whiz, it's been a pig's age since I've written here. I'd like to write more here. This is truly my space and the page within the book that is my face. Ah, one resolution after another. I thought today as I walked a couple miles across town that I'd like to try and use the public transportation system more often. Instead of driving to the grocery store, I should take the bus. Anyhow, my post below was right-on in the sense that I DID record a Christmas album, proudly titled "Humpin' Holiday" and available for download on the music page (right click the tracks). I know the season has passed, but if you download it now, it'll be ready and waiting for you on black Friday next year. After the Crapulous Christmas Party I couldn't bring myself to listen to anymore XMAS music. I was done. In fact, I've been having a tough time listening to anything. I need suggestions. Suggestions that I won't knock down after 3 seconds of listening. Blast these picky ears. Burlington Choral Society is starting up soon. We're singing Mendelssohn's St. Paul oratorio. Hope it's a doosey. Lord knows I've worn down the grooves on my Lord Nelson Mass record.

As for Nuda. Oh, well, it's moving in the right direction again. After all the hijinks of the holidays, I'm returning to the idea of paradox, conflict, contradiction, dichotomy. Verses of Versus -or- Nothing's New. Here it goes. I even have a rough idea of the album art in mind. Wonder if you need to get permission to use Scrabble in the picture? There are some shows up on the show page. Three of them are part of the le duo inprov at the Radio Bean. YES, inprov, not improv, even though it will be improv. I think JB said something about me playing by myself a little for each of these before the collab takes place. Then there's "The Ladies of Burlington," which is a concept I've been trying to pull together for a while now featuring a few of the women around Burlington playing music, too. More on that as I get commitments.

Otherwise, just working toward writing some new stuff, polishing all the stuff I've written for VoVorNN, starting to play with three toys I have yet to really mess with: a foot controller for the JamMan, a foot controller for the Electro-Harmonix, and a volume pedal. I know the two former items sound boring, but it's amazing what you can do when your hands don't have to be free and when you can switch between loop patches without bending down. At least I know what is possible in my head. Now time to make it happen outside of my head.
